In a world where children are surrounded by digital experiences, a thoughtful approach to media literacy in early development is a top educational priority. New tools and strategies are needed to educate children to an active use of the language of new media.

By intentionally and creatively exploiting media as resources, children learn to use them to express their inner life and to develop cognitive, emotional, and social skills.

i-Theatre is a dedicated environment wherein children may be guided by symbolic playing activities to autonomously produce and critically understand media messages. It is a narrative-based authoring laboratory where traditional multisensorial activities are seamlessly combined with digital tools. Through sensory playing, i-Theatre allows children to establish a sound relationship between physical objects and new tech, as they learn to interact with each other in the real world.
